#Wild video shows MTA bus ambushed by unmasked, hookah-smoking revelers

A wild video shows dozens of unmasked, hookah-smoking revelers ambushing an MTA bus in Queens for an impromptu dance party over the weekend.

The empty bus had just left Grand Avenue Depot around 4 a.m. Sunday when the driver had to stop due to double-parked cars blocking its path, an MTA source said.

When the operator tried to get the vehicles to move, the crowd suddenly piled into the bus.

Video posted on WorldStarHipHop showed the hyped-up crowd of young people packed like sardines aboard the bus, bouncing up and down to music.

Later in the clip, a smaller group is shown on the bus smoking hookah and drinking while dancing around a woman sporting a retro Bob Feller #19 Cleveland Indians baseball jersey.

Not a single person in any of the clips has their face covered — in violation of the MTA requirement that all bus and subway riders mask up.

The crowd dispersed by the time a supervisor arrived less than 30 minutes later, the MTA said. Police were not called.

“That rambunctious crowd put the bus operator and themselves at risk when they violated multiple health and safety laws and rules by taking over a bus for mask-less smoking and lewd activities without regard to social distancing,” MTA spokesman Tim Minton said in a statement.

Transit workers, and bus drivers in particular, were hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic in March and April, when dozens of MTA employees died from the disease and thousands more got sick.

MTA bus chief Craig Cipriano told The Post the ambushed bus’ operator is “doing fine” after the incident, but called on NYPD to investigate now that video has surfaced.

“They put the bus driver at risk, and quite frankly they put themselves at risk,” Cipriano said.

“I can’t have my bus operators subjected to this.”

The bus was “fully disinfected” following the incident, Minton added.
