#Who is Dale Moss? Meet Clare Crawley’s ‘Bachelorette’ contestant

After many, many delays, “The Bachelorette” finally airs Oct. 13 on ABC at 8 p.m.

Although fans are excited to meet leading lady Clare Crawley’s many potential suitors, everyone has their eye on one man, Dale Moss.

Crawley and Moss reportedly began talking during the monthslong period after the Season 16 cast was announced before filming began. After meeting in person, they quickly fell for each other and left the show to be together, according to reports. While sources differ as to whether this was Crawley’s choice or the production’s, the 39-year-old will allegedly be replaced by Tayshia Adams.

Promos for the show seem to confirm this theory.

“Hi, come on over,” says a smitten Crawley to Moss as he steps out of the limo in a new teaser video.

“Clare, my name is Dale, and I couldn’t be more excited to take this journey with you,” he says to her.

“I feel like I just met my husband,” she says when he walks away. “Oh my God.”

Crawley reportedly gives Moss her first-impression rose, according to blogger Reality Steve.

But the other contestants aren’t so sure. “It’s a matter of time before Clare realizes that Dale’s not who she thinks he is,” one man says in voiceover on the clip, as video of the couple in bed together plays.

Moss is a 32-year-old who spent four years in the NFL as a wide receiver. The offensive player has been on the Green Bay Packers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Chicago Bears, according to his website.

In addition to sports, Moss works as a model for brands such as Under Armour and Hugo Boss. He volunteers for the Tiger Woods Foundation, Wounded Warriors and works as a global ambassador for the Special Olympics.

The South Dakota resident also played basketball while attending a Division 1 college. After his bout in the NFL, he moved to New York to work in consulting for sports and wellness brands.

“Dale is looking for a woman who wants him but doesn’t need him and says that nothing turns him on more than an independent woman with strong convictions,” his official ABC bio reads. “When Dale is feeling passionate, he doesn’t like to hold back and is looking for a woman who won’t be turned off by his intensity.”

There’s a small red flag: His bio says he has yet to master patience.

“It’s safe to say Dale leaves his mark really early on this season,” says Chris Harrison, during an online showcase of the season’s cast. “It’s safe to say I’ve never seen someone leave a bigger impression. Stay tuned.”

Like most “Bachelorette” contestants, Moss’s Instagram is filled with shirtless photos of himself. A New Yorker at heart, he recently showed support for the Yankees. He often shares shots of himself in the gym, walking the streets of NYC and doing sponsored content.
