Content (8/10)

The anime “The World in All Colors – Iroduku” is about Hitomi Tsukishiro, a high school student who lives in 2078. Due to a traumatic experience, she lost the ability to see colors. At a festival she meets her grandmother, who tells her about a magic that lets her travel back in time, which she promptly uses. This sends Hitomi back in time and lands in 2018.

Completely overwhelmed, Hitomi finds herself in a completely different time and wakes up in a room. It turns out that there is a high school student living there. Shortly before he enters the room, she hides under the bed and watches the moment to secretly climb out of the window and avoid an embarrassing encounter with the high school student. But as she climbs out of the window, she is seen by other high school students who know the house Hitomi wants to get out of secretly. Of course, they interpret the situation very differently and think that it is a secret relationship between the high school student who lives there.

When Hitomi wanders through the city, she meets the high school student Shō Yamabuki. He wants to help her and takes her to a magic shop that Hitomi is looking for, maybe to meet people she knows. There she met relatives of herself and told her story. They believe her story because her grandmother, who was a high school student herself at the time, is known for such behavior. Now it is up to Hitomi to find out why her grandma sent her to this time.

Judgment

“The world in all colors – Iroduku” surprised me positively. The story, which has a very sudden start, gradually introduces the viewer to the story of Hitomi without advancing too quickly. This is also important in order to get to know the characters better and to better understand their relationship with one another. Especially Hitomi, who is very cautious at first, gradually begins to open up through her new acquaintances. Such character developments are always very important, otherwise it can quickly get boring if everything stays the same. Without revealing too much about the ending, I’m also very happy with it and think that the story was well written overall.

Animations (10/10)

One of the best features in the anime are the animations, which are of a very high quality. Above all, colors play an important role. By switching between black and white and the world of color, it is made clear to the viewer how Hitomi sees the world. The scenes in which the abstract paintings by Yuito were shown were also very nicely implemented and particularly stood out. In short, there were many magical moments in this anime.

Music (9/10)

The soundtracks were created by Yoshiaki Dewa. I think the anime was able to show itself from its best side here too and had really beautiful and appropriately chosen OSTs.

The opening is from Haruka to Miyuki and is called “17 Sai ”. Das Ending“ 12 Mimei no kimi to hakumei no mahō ”wurde von Nagi Yanagi sung.

German localization (9/10):

The synchro was created at EuroSync GmbH, Berlin directed by Yannick Forstenhäuslerwho also wrote the dialogue book for it.

At first I was a little skeptical about Hitomi’s dubbing voice, that of Leslie-Vanessa Lill was spoken. But as the anime progressed, I liked it more and more. This is mainly due to the fact that her voice sounds very concise and I really like it. In my opinion, this is a very important feature and it sets it apart from other voices. The other votes were also well chosen and were not outliers.

Nature German voice

Kohaku Tsukishiro Marie-Hinze
Yuito Aoi Vincent Fallow
Asagi Kazeno Saskia luck
Kurumi Kawai Samira Jakobs
Shō Yamabuki The Shwarzmeier Team

Conclusion

For me, «The world in all colors – Iroduku» is a very positive surprise. I’m often a bit skeptical about original anime, but this one turned out well and is of high quality. With a strong character development and a pleasant narrative speed, the series definitely convinces and closes it off wonderfully. Therefore there is a recommendation from my side.
