Princess Principal: Crown Handler’s official website announced that the first movie from the six-part series will open in Japanese theaters on February 11, 2021. The movie was originally slated for April 21, 2020 but was pushed back due to COVID-19 concerns in theaters.

The Princess Principal: Crown Handler film series is composed of six movies that serve as the sequel to the anime series Princess Principal. 3HZ and Actas will be producing the movies with the same staff. The original cast will also reprise their roles, with the exception of Ayaka Imamura (Ange) who has since retired in 2018 due to health concerns.

The cast now includes:

  • Aoi Koga as Ange

Sentai Filmworks describes the series as:

At the end of the 19th century, London, the Kingdom of Albion has been split into East and West sides by a giant wall. Five girls attend Queen’s Mayfaire, a conventional and prestigious school. Under the guise of regular high school girls, they act as spies under cover. Disguise, reconnaissance, infiltration, car chases… Each girl uses their own set of special skills to dart around the world of shadow.
