#The War of The Rohirrim Anime Film Announced

New Line and Warner Bros. Animation announced that it will produce and release the feature anime film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.

Sola Entertainment (Tower of God production management) is in charge of the animation production. Kenji Kamiyama (Blade Runner: Black Lotus, Eden of the East) will also be directing the film. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute the film worldwide. The voice casting is also underway. 

The anime is described to “expand the untold story behind the fortress of Helm’s Deep, delving into the life and bloodsoaked times of Hammerhand.” It will also be set in the Second Age of Middle Earth, roughly 250 years before The Lord of the Rings movies.
