The manga creator behind The Seven Deadly Sins, Nakaba Suzuki, will be penning a sequel story for the franchise in the form of a brand new anime film titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light. The anime film is set after the currently airing The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgement TV anime series, which is set to be the final TV anime adaptation of the franchise.
Suzuki said that he used elements in the story of The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light that he couldn't in the main franchise. This will be the second anime film in the franchise after The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky. Cursed by Light is scheduled to open in Japan in Summer 2021. No more information on the film has been released at this time.
The latest TV anime series The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgement is scheduled to launch on Netflix at some point in 2021.
