#The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Set for October 2021 Premiere

The Rising of the Shield Hero anime—based on the hit light novel series by Aneko Yusagi—had a second and third season announced back in September of 2019, and now we have more information on the next leg of the adventure. Naofumi, Raphtalia, and the rest of the cast are officially set to return in The Rising of the Shield Hero II when it hits the airwaves in October 2021, and the hotly-anticipated second season will stream on Crunchyroll as it airs.

The Rising of the Shield Hero II will be available to Crunchyroll members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

Masato Jinbo is taking over directing duties from season one’s Takao Abo this time around, with a bunch of staff members returning along with the first season’s cast.
