#SixTONES Perform Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon TV Anime Opening Theme for InuYasha Spin-Off

The official twitter account for upcoming TV anime Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon announced on September 17 that J-Pop idol group SixTONES (The Millionaire Detective – Balance: UNLIMITED opening theme) will be performing the opening theme 'NEW ERA' for the Moroha's Dad spin-off series. The spin-off/sequel series to InuYasha is scheduled to begin broadcasting on October 3.

 

 

 

 

Viz Media retweeted the announcement, and have already secured the rights to the series, describing the series as such;

 

In Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, the daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey transcending time. Set in feudal Japan, half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.

 

Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a demon slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister. Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.

 

SixTONES will be joined by Uru, who is performing the ending theme song 'Break' for Yashahime: Princess Half-DemonYashahime will be handled by director Teruo Sato (InuYasha episode director) along with Katsuyuki Sumisawa (InuYasha) writing the screenplay, while Yoshihito Hishinuma (InuYasha) is working on the animation character designs with manga creator Rumiko Takahashi, who did the concept designs, with music composition from Kaoru Wada (InuYasha). The TV anime will be produced at SUNRISE.
