#Pretty Derby – Party Dash Game Gets 1st Trailer, August 30 Launch

Cygames has revealed an August 30, 2024 launch date and a trailer for ARC SYSTEM WORKS Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Party Dash video game, with the latter providing a run-through of its features by Gold Ship.

Party Dash was announced last year as a “party action” game for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam with four modes. Hurtling Hurdles, Blazing Baskets, Dodgeball Demolition, and Gourmet Gauntlet. Here’s how Gold Ship describes them in the new trailer:

Blazing Baskets

Four ballers take to the court and kinda do whatever they want! This ain’t like your driveway hoops either. Nets will keep popping out and moving about!

Dodgeball Demolition

Y’all like battle royales, right? Dodge your opponents’ Special Shots if you want to be the last Uma standing!

Gourmet Gauntlet

Serve a feast, and make sure they eat it! Gotta say, it all looks pretty tasty! And Golshi sticks to eating, just so you know.

Hurtling Hurdles

You’re gonna be hurtling all over the neighbourhood! Wait, ain’t that trespassing? Oh well, as long as we’re all doin’ our best out here, yeah?

Players will start the game with access to 20 Horse Girls, divided into teams of five, and five more characters can be unlocked via gameplay. The teams are Team Cosmos (lead by Special Week), Team Freesia (lead by Silence Suzuka), Team Lily (lead by Still in Love), and Team Rose (lead by Tokai Teio, although Gold Ship claims to be the one “pulling all the strings”).

Beyond local and online multiplayer (up to four players), Party Dash has a story mode that “explores each team’s unique cast.” There’s also a Clubroom Mode where you can design your clubroom by placing props and observe the Horse Girls.

The very end of the trailer has what seems to be a teaser for something called Golshi-chan no Daibouken II (Golshi-chan’s Great Adventure II), with Gold Ship screaming, “Never fear, McQueen! I’m comin’ to save ya!” In November 2022, the Umamusume YouTube channel released a video titled “[Shinsaku Game?] Golshi-chan no Daibouken” ([New Game?] Golshi-chan’s Great Adventure), an animation that mimicked the style of a retro pixel platformer and pitted Gold Ship against giant humanoid carrots.
