The second season of the surreal comedy series POP TEAM EPIC will premiere this coming October 2022. 

A teaser PV trailer to promote the sequel series was uploaded last December on KING AMUSEMENT CREATIVE YouTube channel. A key visual was also released. 

The first season of POP TEAM EPIC first aired in 2018, while a “remix version” titled POP TEM EPIC REPEAT aired in 2021, along with two TV specials. The anime series is based on the manga of the same name by Bukubu Ookawa, which was first published in 2014 and released its sixth “season” in 2021. 

The first season features an ensemble cast of voice actors for the main characters, Popuko and Pipimi, in each segment. The main anime staff consists of Jun Aoki and Aoi Umeki as series directors, with Aoki as the series screenwriter. Aoki, Umeki, and Sana Aohoshi are the character designers. Kamikaze Douga handled animation production for the show.
