#New ETOTAMA Web Anime & Audio Drama Hit ABEMA in May of 2021

Some quick news for all of you fans of adorable Zodiac animal girls out there: ETOTAMA Nyan-kyaku Banrai (“Meow-llions of Customers”), the long-awaited follow-up to the 2015 ETOTAMA TV anime, will stream in Japan on ABEMA and other platforms as a single thirty minute anime episode as well as 3 twenty minute audio dramas (for a total of four installments) beginning in May of 2021.

Crunchyroll describes the story of ETOTAMA as follows:

Since ancient times, Japan has upheld the tradition of the 12 Zodiac signs. Eto-musumes (Zodiac girls), who have the appearance and behavior of the animals of the Zodiac, are pure hearted messengers who act as a bridge between humans and the gods. Every 60 years, the “ETM 12” tournament takes place in Tokyo’s Akihabara district, where aspiring girls from all over Japan gather for the chance to become the next zodiac sign.

The story of ETOTAMA Nyan-kyaku Banrai is set a few months after the events of ETOTAMA, and it involves the arrival of Na-tan, a Zodiac girl who treats Nya-tan like an older sister. Na-tan shows up at the Takeru residence with an important message, but she promptly forgets her “divine mission”.

ETOTAMA Nyan-kyaku Banrai is directed by Fumitoshi Oizaki and Takeyuki Suzuki and features animation production by Shirogumi with cooperation by Encourage Films.
