#My Hero Academia Season 5 Gets 3rd Trailer, OP Preview

The upcoming fifth season of My Hero Academia has received a third trailer ahead of its March 27 premiere date. 

The new promotional video shows off some new scenes and previews the opening song “No.1” by DISH//. Additionally, it was announced that The Peggies will perform the fifth season’s ending song, “Ashiato (“Footprints”).”

My Hero Academia Season 5 will cover the “Joint Training” arc. The show received its first trailer in October 2020 and its second trailer in December 2020.  

Season 4 chief director Kenji Nagasaki, director Masahiro Mukai, series composer Yousuke Kuroda, character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi, art directors Shigemi Ikeda and Yukiko Maruyama, photography director Takashi Sawa, and music composer Yuuki Hayashi are reprising their roles for the fifth season. Meanwhile, Season 4 assistant character designer Hitomi Odashima is now credited as character designer alongside Umakoshi.

My Hero Academia is based on the manga by Kōhei Horikoshi. The anime’s first season originally premiered in April 2016, while the fourth and most recent season premiered in October 2019.

Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal.
