#LI police probe shooting near Americana Manhasset mall

Long Island cops are investigating reports of shots fired near the Americana Manhasset, an upscale, open-air shopping center located along a stretch of Northern Boulevard famously known as the Miracle Mile.

No one was hurt, according to Nassau County police, who denied initial social media reports claiming there was an active shooter at the swanky shops.

The 220,000-square-foot American Manhasset includes more than 60 restaurants and high-end retail stores whose brands range from Fendi to Gucci to Tiffany & Co. and Prada.

“We’re actively investigating a call for multiple shots fired in the vicinity of the Americana Mall. Nobody is injured,” the police spokesman said.
