#Let’s Make a Mug Too Anime Gets New PV, Additional Cast, and April 2 Premiere

The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Tajimi’s Let’s Make a Mug Too (Yakunara Mug Cup Mo) manga revealed a new key visual and promotional video for the anime, revealing its April 2 premiere date and three additional cast members. The anime will also have a live-action part that will feature the anime’s cast.

The anime’s staff includes Jun Kamiya (Blue Seed, Kingdom) as director, Naruhisa Arakawa (Twin Star Exorcists) as scriptwriter and supervisor, and Ayano Yoshioka (Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos) as character designer and chief animation director. The animation direction will be from Nippon Animation.

The new cast members include Kaito Ishikawa as Tokishirō Toyokawa, Rin Mizuhara as Sachie Tokikawa, and Mana Ogawa as Mami Koizumi. Other cast members include Minami Tanaka as Himeno Toyokawa, Yū Serizawa as Mika Kukuri, Yūki Wakai as Naoko Naruse, and Rina Honnizumi as Toko Aoki. Haru Miyachi and Nendo Tsumura play students who attend the pottery club at a different school from the main characters.

The Mug-Mo unit will perform the anime’s opening theme song “Tobira o Aketara” (If You Open the Door), and Maneki-kecak will perform the live-action part’s theme song “Mawaru Sekai ni” (In This Spinning World).

The manga’s English website describes its story as:

The city of Tajimi, located in the southern part of Gifu Prefecture, Japan, is famous for Mino earthenware. The city is dotted with historical pottery producers and ceramic art museums. It has facilities where you can try your hand at making pottery, and many restaurants that serve food on Minoware dishes.

The story begins when a high school girl moves to a shopping street in Tajimi. Many encounters await her, friends, town folk, ceramic art, etc. What will she discover in a town famous for ceramic?
