The team of the Miss KUROITSU from the Monster Development Department TV anime will be taking some approved vacation time from their work on Japanese TV this weekend while the schedules realign after the Hunga Tonga volcanic eruption and tsunami caused a worldwide disruption, with the third episode postponed by a week.

While the second episode did air on some Japanese TV stations last weekend (and thus is streaming here on Crunchyroll), the main ANiMAZiNG!!! block on TV Asahi had its Miss KUROITSU from the Monster Development Department broadcast upended for coverage of the Hunga Tonga volcanic eruption and tsunami that hit Japan overnight on January 15 and thus didn’t air the second episode. Due to this, TV Asahi and its fellow affiliate stations will air the second episode this weekend while the stations that did air episode 2 will rebroadcast the episode instead of broadcasting the newest one.

Episode 3 of Miss KUROITSU from the Monster Development Department will now air on January 29 on TV Asahi, with the other stations to follow over the following days.

In the director’s chair for Miss KUROITSU from the Monster Development Department is Hisashi Saito (Haganai) at anime studio Quad, with Katsuhiko Takayama (Mirai Nikki) writing the scripts, and Kazuya Morimae (The Testament of Sister New Devil animation director) adapting the original manga character designs into anime. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs on Japanese TV, describing it as such:

Follow Miss Kuroitsu as she creates creatures for a villainess organization to fight against superheroes!
