Production A, a voice actor agency based in Tokyo, announced today on October 15 that voice actress Kyo Tachibana will take a hiatus from voice acting work for the time being to focus on schoolwork. She has been taking time off since August due to her health issue, and she is now fully recovered from her condition according to the agency.
Because of this decision, she will also graduate (leave) from the nine-member voice actress unit Luminous Witches. She had been cast as Joanna Elizabeth Stafford in the forthcoming TV anime Renmei Kuugun Koukuu Mahou Ongakutai Luminous Witches (Allied Air Force Magical Idols Luminous Witches), which is set to premiere in 2022. The anime’s official website has announced that a new voice cast for the character will be announced at a later date.
Tachibana has posted a comment on Twitter as below:
In order to focus on schoolwork, I have decided to graduate from Luminous Witches. It’s been about a year and a half, and I’d like to thank everyone involved, all the members, and most of all, the Nousches (the members of the unit’s official Nico Nico channel) for their support! I was able to experience a lot of happiness, meet a lot of friends, have a lot of fun, and grow a lot. I will be graduating from Luminous Witches, but I love Luminous Witches and support it very much. So I will be one of the Nousches. Finally, I will be returning to voice acting as soon as my schoolwork have settled down, so I would be very happy if you could support me again when I do. I will be back in good health, so please wait for me until then. Thank you very much!
