After years of waiting, popular “Attack on Titan” OVAs are now coming to German-speaking countries thanks to Crunchyroll.
The franchise «Attack on Titan» is known to almost everyone in the anime fandom. The title started as a manga by Hajime Isayama in 2009 and made its breakthrough into the mainstream in 2013 with the anime. Since 2013, additional episodes have also been published regularly as extra for manga volumes. So far only in a few countries and only as a manga extra.
Now that will change: After a TV broadcast of some “Attack on Titan” OVAs (we reported) all 8 OVAs soon in the original with German subtitles on Crunchyroll added. The OVAs will on December 19, 2021 at 5:10 p.m. unlocked on the platform. And from January Crunchyroll will also show Part 2 of the final season of “Attack on Titan” together with WAKANIM (we reported).
The “Attack on Titan” OVAs include adaptations of additional manga chapters and spinoffs that have already been published by Carlsen Manga. The first 3 episodes each tell their own stories, while the first is an adaptation of the additional manga chapter “Ilse’s Notebook”. Episodes 4 and 5 are an adaptation of “No Regrets”. The spin-off manga “Lost Girls” about Annie and Mikasa was covered in the last 3 episodes.
