Following the first CM "New Year's Special Program," which has been aired in Japan since January 1, The Idolm@ster franchise's official YouTube channel has posted the second anime CM "A Shrine Visit for The New Year" for Cygames and Bandai Namco Studios' co-developed smartphone game The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage. The rhythm game launched in Japan on September 3, 2015, and reached 25 million downloads by December 2019.

In this second CM, Anastasia, Yui Ohtsuki, and Karin Domyoji visit a shrine and divine their fortune for the year with omikuji. As with the previous anime CMs, CloverWorks (The Promised Neverland) works on anime production.

"A Shrine Visit for The New Year"

The first "New Year's Special Program" edition CM depicts the idols performing at the New Year's special TV program using the song "Wish you Happiness!" as the background music. This clip has been already viewed more than 138,000 times in three days.
