#Muse Asia Announces BanG Dream Roselia Movie Release in Southeast Asia

Muse Asia has announced the Southeast Asia release of the BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia I: Promise film, which is tentatively scheduled to be screened in June 2021 for Singapore and Indonesia, subject to COVID-19 regulations in both countries. Malaysia is also set to receive the release, but has no announced date due to the COVID-19 situation and cinema closures. 

The film is slated to have a runtime of 77 minutes with subtitles in English and Mandarin. It opened in Japan’s theaters on April 23 this year, and the second film, titled BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia Ⅱ: Song I am. is slated for June 25 release in Japan this year.


 

Atsushi Mimura is directing the film at SANZIGEN, with Kohdai Kakimoto as general director. Takaaki Kidani serves as executive producer, with Kakimoto Koudai as screenplay writer and Yuki Makino as art director. Noriyasu Agematsu and Junpei Fujita of Elements Garden are in charge of music production. 

The cast includes Aina Aiba as Yukina Minato, Haruka Kudō as Sayo Hikawa, Yuki Nakashima as Lisa Imai, Megu Sakuragawa as Ako Udagawa, and Kanon Shizaki as Rinko Shirokane.

Muse Asia describes the film as:

“Are you prepared to fully devote yourselves to Roselia?”

To reach the stage of “FES.”, Yukina Minato decides to form a band.

Each holding their own convictions, the members of the band come together.

The five girls now begin their journey to the top as Roselia …

This is the story of their “promise” made to each other, from the start of the band to their challenge towards FUTURE WORLD FES!

The film is part of the BanG Dream! franchise by Bushiroad, which launched in January 2015. The Poppin’ Party band debuted in February 2015, with other bands including Hello, Happy World!, Pastel*Palettes, Afterglow, Roselia, RAISE A SUILEN, an all-male band called Argonavis, and, most recently, Morƒonica. 

The BanG Dream! television anime’s first season premiered in January 2017, with the second and third seasons airing in January 2019 and January 2020 respectively. Argonavis from BanG Dream!, the spin-off anime featuring the male band Argonavis, aired in April 2020. Upcoming films include BanG Dream! Poppin’ Dream!, which is slated for 2022, and BanG Dream! FILM LIVE 2nd Stage. Argonavis is also receiving a compilation film titled Gekijōban Argonavis from BanG Dream! Prelude, which slated to air in Fall 2021, as well as a new film project that is slated for release in Summer 2022.
