#Idaten Deities in the Peaceful Generation’s Third Trailer Previews Supporting Characters

Idaten Deities in the Peaceful Generation (Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi) has received a third trailer, which previews the supporting characters of the upcoming fantasy anime and the opening song “Seija no Kōshin” (“When the Saints Go Marching In”) by Tatsuya Kitani.

The trailer also reintroduces the main characters that were the main focus of the second trailer and previews some action. 

The newly previewed characters include Prontea (Akira Ishia), Gil (Shizuka Ito), Pisara (Asami Seto), Nickel (Sumire Uesaka), Collie (Shizuka Ishigami), Nept (Masuo Amada), Miku (Mariya Ise), Brandy (Yōko Honna), Takeshita (Mitsuru Miyamoto), and Ōbami (Chō). The main cast includes Romi Park as Hayato, Megumi Ogata as Isley, Yui Horie as Paula, and Akemi Okamura as Rin.

Idaten Deities in the Peaceful Generation is based on the manga written by Interspecies Reviewers‘s Amahara and drawn by Coolkyousinnjya. The story is set 800 years after mankind is saved from extinction at the hands of demons by the sudden appearance of gods of war called Idaten. The defeated demons are now making a return, but the Idaten that await them are those who were born in an era of peace and have no experience in battle. 

The manga began in 2018 and is serialized in Young Animal. Three tankōbon volumes have been released as of August 2020. The first trailer for the anime adaptation was released in November 2020.

Directing the show is Seimei Kidokoro (Haikara-san ga Tooru Movie Kōhen: Hana no Tokyo Dai Roman), while Hiroshi Seko (Levius) and Nao Ōtsu (Beastars) are the series composer/scriptwriter and animation director/character designer respectively. Other staff include Masaru Kitao (Cells at Work!!) as animation director, Seiki Tamura (Mr. Osumatsu Season 3) as art director, Chikako Komato (Jujutsu Kaisen) as color designer, Atsushi Kanō (Number 24) as photography director, and Yoshiaki Dewa (Iroduku: The World in Colors) as music composer.
