#Hyundai’s New Concept EV Looks Cozy Enough to Live In – Review Geek

Earlier this month, Hyundai released some teaser images of a new concept EV named the “Seven,” an all-electric SUV that looks cozy enough to live in with comfort and styling in mind. The vehicle made its formal debut at the LA Auto show, and it looks uniquely stunning. Additionally, this concept hints at a new SUV model “coming soon to the Ioniq family.”

The South Korean carmaker says that the Seven concept captures the company’s “future design and technology innovation in the electric mobility era and hints at a new SUV model coming to the IONIQ family.” 

Based on that, it’s likely that this is a version of what will eventually arrive as the Ioniq 7 to go along with the brand’s recently unveiled Ioniq 5 all-electric crossover. That said, some of the interior stylings may need a redesign for today’s standards.

As you can see, the Hyundai Seven concept features a cozy, lounge-like interior. However, it’s important to remember that this concept is just that, and a lot will change from the current showing to the production model. Still, the interior looks stunning. Speaking of the interior, Hyundai says it’s made from sustainable and eco-friendly materials.

The SEVEN is built on Hyundai’s new E-GMP platform and is essentially a preview of what full-size electric SUVs would look like on the E-GMP program.

Hyundai didn’t share much at first, but at the LA Auto Show, the company released a few preliminary numbers. Claiming the E-GMP platform can deliver full-size electric SUVs with robust 800-volt systems capable of upwards of 300-miles on a single charge. In addition, these vehicles could support 350-kW fast charging and feature several neat features like futuristic interiors, bi-directional charging, and more.

We’re assuming these new EVs will run on a battery similar to what’s in the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which is a 72.6-kWh battery capable of a 300-mile range. However, they’ll need to make the system more efficient or squeeze out more if they want to reach that range on a bigger SUV.

In closing, the company said the fancy interior shown here reflects the changing lifestyles of its customers. Still, we’ll have to wait and see just how much of this translates to a mass-market vehicle like the upcoming Ioniq 7.
