duendita, aka Queens-born singer and producer Candace Camacho, has shared a new song called “bio” (pronounced “bee-yo,” as she explains in the below video outlining the proper pronunciation). The new song follows the previous single “Open Eyes.” Listen to it below.
duendita wrote, performed, and produced “bio” with her collaborator NB. She said in a statement:
“bio” is an existential dance song… reflecting on a distaste for involuntary experiences as a human… exploring themes of reality, creation and surveillance… “i didn’t ask to be born!”… yet you still have to find / cultivate joy in order to survive…. this song is about that journey and experience.
