#Dawn Fall Premieres Spring 2022, Visual and Staff Details Released

The Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall website has announced a Spring 2022 premiere window for the new anime project. Staff details and a “Black Rock Shooter (Empress)” key visual were also released. 

The staff includes Tenshō (Azur Lane The Animation, Grisaia: Phantom Trigger The Animation) as director, Makoto Fukami (Blade of the Immortal) as series composer and scriptwriter, Ryō Yoshigami (Psycho-Pass 3 scriptwriter) as assistant series composer and co-scriptwriter, and Masayuki Nonaka (Azur Lane The Animation) as character designer and chief animation director.

Other staff include huke as the original character designer and illustrator Rui Tomono with Nitroplus’s Makoto Ishiwata and Yōjo Ōta as concept designers. Bibury Animation Studios and Bibury Animation CG are the animation production studios.

Black Rock Shooter originated as an original character by huke in 2007. The character inspired huke’s fellow supercell member ryo to create a song based on the illustration, with vocaloid Hatsune Miku providing the vocals. huke produced a PV for the song. 

Black Rock Shooter previously inspired an OVA in 2010 and an anime TV series in 2012, as well as video games and manga.
