#Date A Live V Releases SIDE: Mio Takamiya Trailer

The ongoing Date A Live V anime has received its third trailer, dubbed SIDE: Mio Takamiya.

The new season started airing on April 10 and is streaming on Crunchyroll.

Date A Live is an adaptation of the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko light novels written by Koshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. The previous seasons premiered in 2013, 2014, 2019, and 2022. The first three were directed by Keitaro Motonaga at AIC PLUS+ (Season 1), Production IMS (Season 2), and J.C.STAFF (Season 3). There is also a 2015 Date A Live anime movie and a 2020 two-part OVA adaptation of the Date A Bullet spin-off.

The light novel series began in 2011 and now includes spin-offs and short story anthologies in addition to the main entries. As of 2022, there are 22 main volumes and 11 anthologies. Yen Press describes the first volume as:

April 10. The first day of school. Shido Itsuka is rudely awoken by his personal alarm clock—his little sister. It’s shaping up to be another typical day…well, as typical as it gets on a planet plagued by massive spatial quakes. Little does Shido know, however, his life is about to take a sudden turn when he encounters the source of this destructive phenomenon—a girl his age, apparently known as a Spirit. Turns out, there are only two ways he can stop her from unleashing hell on the world: Eliminate her by force or placate her…by taking her out on a date and making her fall in love with him!

The Date A Live franchise also includes various manga and video games.
