#Date A Live Season 4’s New Trailer Reveals April 2022 Start

The official Twitter account for the Date A Live anime revealed tonight that the next entry in the TV anime series, which was previously scheduled to start in October 2021, will now begin in April 2022. A new trailer was released to coincide with the news which also announced some additional cast members and the opening and ending themes for the upcoming 4th season of Date A Live.

 



 

Joining the cast of Date A Live IV is Hitomi Nabatame (Rokumon in RIN-NE) as Nia Honjo, with Akari Kageyama (Nana Ebina in Himouto! Umaru-chan) joining the cast as Mukuro Hoshimiya. Performing the opening theme song “OveR” is Miyu Tomita, while the ending theme “S.O.S” will be performed by sweet ARMS.

 

Jun Nakagawa returns to the series at GEEKTOYS after directing the Date A Bullet anime films, with Naoto Nakamura also returning as the character designer, and Go Sakabe as the music composer, who also did the music for the first three anime seasons. Fumihiko Shimo (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) is writing the series composition. The cast from the first three seasons returns for Date A Live IV.

Three seasons of the Date A Live TV anime have been broadcast so far, with all the seasons currently streaming on Crunchyroll. The streamer describes the series as such:

 

Ordinary high school boy Shido discovers a mysterious girl at ground zero of a recent spacequake. Shido learns, through his sister Kotori, that the girl is one of the Spirits: mystical creatures responsible for the spacequakes. Shido is recruited to help “seal” the sprits and end their threat to mankind. There’s just one catch: the only way to seal a spirit—is to make her fall in love with you.
