Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has received a second “special video” that offers a 50-second preview of the upcoming movie’s CG visuals. The film is set to premiere in 2022.
Announced in May, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the second film to be inspired by the Dragon Ball Super anime and manga series. The previous film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, was released in 2018, while the series ran from 2015 to 2018. The manga, written by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama and drawn by Toyotarou, began in 2015 and is still ongoing.
Toriyama previously revealed that he was “heavily leading the story and dialogue production” for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. “I really shouldn’t talk too much about the plot yet, but be prepared for some extreme and entertaining bouts, which may feature an unexpected character,” he said in his message. “We’ll be charting through some unexplored territory in terms of the visual aesthetics to give the audience an amazing ride, so I hope everybody will look forward to the new movie!”
