#Cyclist delivering pizza killed in hit-and-run collision on Upper East Side

A man delivering pizza on an E-bike was killed in a hit-and-run collision on the Upper East Side Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The 42-year-old victim was riding north on the bicycle along Second Avenue at 4:28 p.m. when he was struck by a black Chevy Tahoe that was traveling westbound on 97th Street, an NYPD spokesman said.

The unidentified driver of the SUV sped off, with the vehicle later found abandoned at 96th Street and Third Avenue.

Photographs from the scene show that the vehicle had TLC license plates.

The cyclist was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police said no arrests have been made in the case and the incident is under investigation.

The name of the victim was not released pending family notification, the cops said.
