#Video captures moment freight train plows into tractor-trailer

Video shows the moment a freight train smashed into a tractor-trailer stuck on the tracks in Indiana.

The truck was sitting on tracks in a traffic-congested area of Pendleton just outside of Indianapolis around 5:40 p.m. Friday when the train plowed into it, officials and witnesses said.

“Oh, my God!” a woman can be heard shouting in the footage as the train crashes into the truck’s cab.

The truck’s driver was already out of his cab when the vehicle was struck, the Pendleton/Fall Creek Township Fire Department wrote on Facebook.

A witness told local WTHR-TV that a construction crew in the area tried to get the truck off the tracks before the crash, to no avail.

The force of the fast-moving train pushed the cab “a couple hundred yards from point of impact,’’ the department wrote.

“Both the train and semi caught fire, [but] crews were able to fully extinguish the fire,” the agency added.

No one was injured in the frightening incident, authorities said.
