#World Heroes’ Mission Spotlights Insert Song With New Trailers

My Hero Academia The Movie: World Heroes’ Mission has released two new trailers that spotlight the insert song “Flowers” by Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

Additionally, it was announced that a second wave of freebies for cinema-goers in Japan will be distributed from August 28 to September 10. The freebie this time is a copy of an illustration by My Hero Academia author Kōhei Horikoshi. The illustration features Deku, Bakugo, Shōto, and the movie’s original character, Rody Soul.

There were originally meant to be 300,000 copies of the illustration in total, but the number was increased to 500,000 copies in light of World Heroes’ Mission‘s success breaking the series’ records. On August 23, Oricon News reported that the movie had grossed over 2.06 billion yen (~US$18.73 million). In comparison, 2019’s Heroes Rising made 1.79 billion yen (~US$16.28 million).

World Heroes’ Mission premiered on August 6 in Japan, with the first wave of freebies being copies of a special My Hero Academia Vol. World Heroes manga by Horikoshi. The movie is the third in the My Hero Academia series, following 2018’s Two Heroes and 2019’s Heroes Rising

The My Hero Academia manga began serialization in 2014 and has 31 tankōbon volumes as of August 2021. Meanwhile, the anime series began in 2016, with its fifth season premiering in March 2021. Both the movies and the series are produced by Bones.

World Heroes’ Mission‘s story sees series protagonist Deku being wanted for mass murder. At the same time, the heroes have two hours to stop a plot to bring about the destruction of the world.
