Blizzard Reveals the Diablo x Berserk Collab’s Dark Details (and a Couple of Trailers)

After teasing Diablo 4 and Diablo immortal players with a Berserk collaboration last week, Blizzard Entertainment has now spilled the beans on what type of crossover content is coming to its dark fantasy action RPGs. There’s also two new trailers — a 2D-animated one for Diablo 4 that expands on the carnage of the initial teaser, and a 3D cinematic trailer for Diablo Immortal.

Given the trailers’ flaunting of Berserk-inspired armor, it’s not surprising that the collaboration will include some cosmetics. In the case of Diablo 4, these include The Berserker Armor for the Barbarian, The Hawk of Light for the Rogue, and The Skull Knight for the Necromancer.

There are also a couple of bundles: The Schnoz Pet bundle, which includes the Mask Rakshas Mount Trophy and Chimimoryo’s Resemblance, and Warhorse of the Hawk bundle, which comes with the Fantasia Mount, Fantasia’s Bridle, Reborn Band of the Hawk Mount Trophy, and God Hand’s Gift Mount Trophy.

While the above can be found at the in-game shop, some other items will require players to harvest Behelits, which are “oviod creatures” that elite enemies may drop, and trade them at the Berserk Reliquary (Reliquaries being Diablo 4‘s upcoming Battle Pass replacement/rework). Among these are Hawks Destiny Back trophy and Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor, and getting them all gives you Od of the Berserker Emblem, a “potent symbol that aligns with the unflinching violence of its wearer.”

There will also be a Skull Behelit Mount Trophy that can only be obtained through an upcoming Support a Streamer Twitch Drop. Blizzard will reveal more details about this one in the future.

For Diablo Immortal, the cosmetic offerings include The Berserker Armor, Hawk of Light, and weapon cosmetics. Unlike its numbered, non-free-to-play brethren, it has more than fashion items for its crossover event, which is called Struggler’s Path. For instance, Nosferatu Zodd will be dropped into the game as a boss, and a stronger version is available to players with the Crimson Behelit Legendary Gem.

The gem provides one of two bonuses depending your health state — when in good health, you’ll gain Behelit’s Wrath for dealing damage, which temporarily boosts your lethality. On the other hand, taking damage while your health has taken a hit earns you Behelit’s Mercy, which reduces received damage. The gem can also be triggered to unleash a Fear-inducing scream. Each ability has a separate cooldown.

Blizzard is also incorporating The Eclipse into Survivor’s Bane — while the mode is active during the event, players will “be able to fight within the Eclipse itself” and “experience the full Eclipse for 60 seconds” with every other minute. Additionally, Golems will be added to the game as Familiar skins, and the first summoned Familiar during the event will be a Golem.

During the event, the game will also provide log-in rewards like the Crimson Behelit Legendary Gem or an Eclipse Frame.

Struggler’s Path will run from May 1 to May 30. Meanwhile, Diablo 4‘s Berserk collab will start on May 6 and generally end with the conclusion of Season 8. The Berserk Reliquary event will end on June 3 at 10 AM PT, while the bundles are available until June 5 at 12 PM PT.
