#The Final Will Premiere On April 5

The upcoming Fruits Basket: The Final, which is the next season of the Fruits Basket anime reboot series, will premiere on April 5. 

The announcement was made by the anime’s Twitter account, which also uploaded a new key visual with the tagline, “The final banquet begins.” 

The first season of the Fruits Basket reboot was released in 2019, followed by the second season in 2020. The staff of the first two Fruits Basket seasons includes Yoshihide Ibata as director, Taku Kishimoto as series composer, Masaru Shindou as character designer, Youko Kamiyama as art director, Mika Sugawara as color designer, Nozomi Shitara as photography director, and Masaru Yokoyama as music composer. TMS Entertainment was in charge of animation production. 

The anime’s cast includes Manaka Iwami as Tohru Honda, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Yuki Sohma, Yuuma Uchida as Kyou Sohma, Yuuichi Nakamura as Shigure Sohma, and Maaya Sakamoto as Akito Sohma. 

Fruits Basket is based on the manga by Natsuki Takaya. The reboot is the second anime adaptation of the manga, following a 26-episode anime series which aired in 2001. Crunchyroll describes the show as:

Tohru Honda thought her life was headed for misfortune when a family tragedy left her living in a tent. When her small home is discovered by the mysterious Soma clan, she suddenly finds herself living with Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Soma. But she quickly learns their family has a bizarre secret of their own: when hugged by the opposite sex, they turn into the animals of the Zodiac!
