Yasmin Williams: Urban Driftwood [Spinster]

Yasmin Williams is a guitarist and composer, based in Northern Virginia, who debuted in 2018 with her self-released record Unwind. Her sophomore LP Urban Driftwood combines lap tapping and percussive techniques to great effect. As Sam Sodomsky wrote in his review of the album: “Williams’ performance is masterfully physical; her strumming can sound like brushes on snare drums while her fingerpicking can echo like gentle taps across cymbals.”
