Yoenis Cespedes is back to playing on the manicured green grass of New York — and Citi Field, too.

The Mets outfielder is feeling so good that he went to play golf the day before the team held its first workout of spring training 2.0, according to Boomer Esiason, who said he ran into Cespedes on the course.

“I have to tell you, Yoenis looks unbelievable,” Esiason said Monday on WFAN’s Boomer and Gio. “Cespedes looks great. I asked him, I said how are your heels? He goes, ‘They’re fine, man.’”

Cespedes was a frequent golfer until he announced during spring training in 2018 that he was putting his clubs away to focus on baseball and staying healthy. It had been a point of contention in 2016, when he played golf the morning before a game against the Yankees that he left with a quadriceps injury. Then-general manager Sandy Alderson called it “bad optics” at the time.

The 34-year-old Cespedes has played in just 38 games since his 2018 declaration. Later that year, he underwent surgery on both of his heels, then in 2019 sustained ankle fractures after an accident on his ranch involving a wild boar.

But now, with the delay of the 2020 season because of coronavirus, Cespedes is in line to be ready for Opening Day, as The Post’s Mike Puma reported. Manager Luis Rojas said Cespedes was sprinting during the shutdown and teammate Michael Conforto said “he looks like a monster,” with encouraging reports from the first few workouts.

Apparently his golf game isn’t too rusty, either.

“I saw where his drive was on that hole that was parallel to me, so it was probably about 340 yards,” Esiason said. “Then I saw his second shot on this par 5, which was a five iron. Normally I’m hitting driver, three wood, nine iron to this hole, he’s hitting driver, five iron to the hole, kind of like Bryson DeChambeau.”
