#World Trigger Season 3 Announces October 2021 Premiere

World Trigger Season 3 was announced to have an October 2021 premiere during the AnimeJapan livestream on March 28. The official Twitter account revealed three screenshots from the upcoming season.

The franchise’s third season is directed by Morio Hatano at Toei Animation, with Hiroyuki Yoshino composing the series and Toshihisa Kaiya serving as character designer. Kenji Kawai will be composing music for the series. The opening theme and ending theme for the third season are “Force” by South Korean boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER and “Mirai Eigō” by rock band Kami wa Saikoro o Furanai respectively.

The third season features a returning cast, including Tomo Muranaka as Yuuma Kuga, Yuuki Kaji as Osamu Mikumo, Nao Tamura as Chika Amator, Yuuichi Nakamura as Yuuichi Jin, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Hyuse.

The World Trigger manga by Daisuke Ashihara debuted in the Weekly Shounen Jump magazine in 2013. The manga took a hiatus in November 2016 due to the mangaka’s health and returned to the magazine in October 2018 before shifting to Shueisha’s Jump SQ magazine in December 2018.

The second season of the franchise premiered on January 9, 2021 and is currently airing as part of the Winter 2021 anime slate. The 12th episode of the second season will air on April 3 at 1:30 AM (GMT+9) in Japan.
