#Moriarty the Patriot returns to Muse Asia in Spring 2021

Muse Asia has announced that it will stream the second cour of Moriarty the Patriot on its YouTube channel, with the first episode to air on April 4, 2021.

The anime will be available in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, and Bhutan. Subsequent episodes will be uploaded every Sunday at 11.00pm GMT+8.

The first cour of Moriarty the Patriot premiered in October 2020. The Production I.G-produced anime has Kazuya Nomura as director, Go Zappa and Taku Kishimoto as series composers, and Tooru Ookubo as character designer and chief animation director. 

Meanwhile, the cast includes Souma Saitou as William James Moriarty, Chiaki Kobayashi as Louis James Moriarty, Makoto Furukawa as Sherlock Holmes, Takuya Satou as Albert James Moriarty, and Yuuki Ono as John H. Watson. The second cour will see the addition of Youko Hikasa as Irene Adler. 

The new opening theme and ending theme for Moriarty the Patriot’s new cour are “TWISTED HEARTS” by Tasuku Hatanaka and “OMEGA” by STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION respectively.

The manga by Ryousuke Takeuchi and Hikaru Miyoshi currently has 13 volumes released, with the 14th to be released in Japan in April 2021. It was first serialised in Shueisha’s Jump SQ. magazine in August 2016.

Muse Asia describes the second half of the series as: 

In the late 19th century, the British Empire nobility reigns while its working class suffers at their hands. Sympathetic to their plight, William James Moriarty wants to topple it all. Frustrated by the systemic inequity, Moriarty strategizes to fix the entire nation. Not even consulting detective Sherlock Holmes can stand in his way. It’s time for crime to revolutionize the world!
