#Woman reportedly finds deep-fried towel in chicken order

Did it go in the deep-dryer?

A woman in the Philippines was shocked to allegedly discover a deep-fried towel in her order from a fried chicken chain.

“This is really disturbing … How the hell do you get the towel in the batter and even fry it!?!?” wrote Alique Perez alongside a Facebook video of the revolting find in a post that has been shared nearly 80,000 times. The woman had reportedly ordered the kitchen nightmare from a Jollibee restaurant in the city of Taguig, through a local food delivery service called Grab.

Perez explained that she was having trouble cutting into what she thought was her son’s chicken order. The fast-food enthusiast finally succeeded in ripping apart the batter with her hands, whereupon she discovered a “deep fried towel” inside, like some sort of bizarro unboxing video.

An accompanying clip showed Perez handling the blue cloth, which is completely encrusted in batter.

“Worst experience ever,” she lamented as the camera zoomed in on her extra-chewy filling.

Onlookers were aghast at her deep-fried debacle.

“That’s disgusting,” remarked one horrified commenter, alongside a gif of a cartoon rabbit sporting a disgusted look on its face.

Another wrote: “This is actually a good case for a lawsuit.  Your Health and other people’s health were compromised due to mishandling.”

“I wonder how Jollibee will spin this,” quipped one social-media jokester.

Jollibee did not immediately return a request for comment from The Post. Perez’s Facebook post did not indicate whether she reached out to the company.

Perez, for one, may not look at fast food the same way again.

“I really thought that the post complaining about weird stuff in their orders were just all made up, now I know that it really happens!” she wrote in the post.

Indeed, this isn’t the first time someone has discovered an unpleasant surprise in their dinner. A UK couple elicited online retching in 2019 after posting pictures of a human tooth they’d allegedly found in their box of Chinese takeout.
