#Woman in Queens shot in front of her apartment

A 54-year-old woman was shot to death in the hallway outside of her Queens apartment, police said Monday.

Emergency responders found Renee Harris on the ninth floor of her Lefrak City building on 57th Ave. near 99th Street at around 3:20 p.m. Sunday after a 911 caller reported finding an unconscious female, cops said.

She was rushed to Long Island Jewish Hospital Forest Hills, where doctors discovered she had a gunshot wound to the left side of her chest and the back of her right shoulder, cops said.

One .22-caliber shell casing was found outside her apartment, police sources said.

The sources said video from the hallway shows a man was waiting for her when she exited the elevator and went to her door. Harris had a history of domestic violence incidents, but their nature was unclear, the sources said.
