#WIT STUDIO, CloverWorks, Shueisha, and Aniplex Team Up Via New JOEN Company

“WIT STUDIO, CloverWorks, Shueisha, and Aniplex Team Up Via New JOEN Company”

Animation production studios WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks will be working together with publisher Shueisha and producer Aniplex and each other through a newly announced company called JOEN

Founded this month, JOEN is described as being focused on “the production of art and animation,” and that it will be involved in the planning and production of “TV series, feature films, and short clips.” CloverWorks producer Yuuichi Fukushima and WIT STUDIO co-founder Tetsuya Nakatake, who are both producers on the ongoing WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks co-production Spy x Family, are the company’s representative directors.

JOEN’s vision statement claims that the company aims to “collaborate with these studios to build a new business model, wherein profits are directed back to the creators.”

The company’s website also says that aside from working with WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks, JOEN intends to “use the industry connections provided by them to expand our scope and collaborate with various studios, producers, and creators to build a framework that allows us to prioritize those involved in the production process.”
