#Wild video shows swarm of desert locusts invading India

A desert locust invasion got so bad in Gurugram, a satellite city of New Delhi, that officials told residents Saturday to close their windows and bang utensils to discourage the swarms of pests, Reuters reported.

Pilots at Delhi’s international airport, which is close by Gurugram — where some of the world’s top corporations are headquartered — were told to take extra precautions when taking off and landing because of the grasshopper-like critters.
