#Why is Disney omitting House of Mouse from Disney Plus?

House of Mouse is still—for some reason—absent from Disney Plus

Disney Plus has a large portion of movies and TV shows from Disney’s catalog from over the years. For some reason, one show, in particular, remains absent, House of Mouse.

The series was chock full of pop culture jokes, many tied to Disney themselves, cartoons specially made for the series, and full of beloved characters throughout Disney’s animated history. It seemed like House of Mouse would be perfect for the average Disney fan browsing Disney Plus. While it didn’t last as long as others, it proved to be a fan-favorite, even taking up a spot on Hidden Remote’s underrated shows that should be added to Disney Plus.

Even so, it didn’t make the cut at the very start, as I was an early bird to get the service, I thought it would come later. Here we are, though, almost a year since Disney Plus launched, still wondering why they’re side-stepping this underrated series.

Why isn’t House of Mouse on Disney Plus yet?

While I can’t say for certain, I can give my own speculation as to why Disney hasn’t given House of Mouse any time of day since it stopped airing all that time ago. I think it has to do with the perceived disinterest in it compared to other series in the works. I’ll be honest, I spaced House of Mouse until looking through the shows on its launch, and then it hit me.

I also think there are other priorities that Disney wants for its streaming service. Its been vehemently churning out ideas and concepts for side-series and reboots that it’s almost too much to keep up with.

If I had to guess when Disney would announce House of Mouse‘s inclusion, I’d have to say, I feel like an announcement during Plus’s anniversary or perhaps Walt Disney’s birthday later this year would certainly make it a memorable announcement.

There is currently no official way to stream House of Mouse.
