Hundreds of protesters rallied outside the home of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Thursday night and demanded that the local police department be defunded, according to local outlets.

The demonstration came after Lightfoot reportedly did an about-face and agreed to President Trump’s plan to send 200 federal agents to the Windy City, in the aftermath of a shooting outside a funeral home that killed at least 15 people.

“Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot agreed to let feds into Chicago. So this is the scene outside her house tonight,” tweeted one person.

At another point, protesters called on Lightfoot to come out of her home, shouting “Where’s Lori? Get your ass up out the house,” footage shows.

The march took off earlier in the evening from Logan Square, where protesters rallied to demand the reallocation of funds from the Chicago Police Department, according to local outlet WGN-TV.

The protesters also demanded justice for an 18-year-old activist named Miracle Boyd, WFLD-TV reported. She was seen on cellphone video being punched by an officer as demonstrators and cops clashed near the Christopher Columbus statue in Grant Park last week.

As the protest raged, local outlets reported that Lightfoot was planning on having the controversial statue removed, as early as Thursday night.

Several of the protesters were spotted breaking into dance in celebration of the news.
