Samsung unveiled its newest phones, earbuds, and smartwatch at its Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event on Wednesday, and these new folding phones are already available for pre-order. With an August 27th release date, here’s how and where to pre-order yours today and reserve your spot in line.

More specifically, Samsung showcased its newly improved Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone with a huge 7.6-inch screen, the Galaxy Flip 3, Galaxy Bud 2, and the fancy Galaxy Watch 4.

Here are a few details about each new product and how to pre-order yours today.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3

The third-generation Galaxy Z Fold is Samsung’s best yet. Packing new and improved 120Hz displays for both the front 6.1-inch “Cover Screen” and the bigger 7.6-inch tablet-size inner display. In addition, the phone has improved cameras, an IPX8 water-resistance rating, and more importantly, the screen on the inside is more durable than ever.

In fact, Samsung claims the inner screen durability is 80-percent higher than the previous generation, making it tough enough that Samsung offers a newly redesigned S-Pen Fold edition stylus. They even packed the front-facing camera under the screen for a full and more immersive experience for daily use.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is packed with the latest technology too. From the latest Android 11 to a powerful 64-bit Octa-core processor. You’ll also get fast wireless charging, a 4,400 mAh battery, reverse wireless charging, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, 12GB of RAM, and the choice of 256 or 512GB of storage. Despite all the improvements and improved durability, the Fold 3 is actually lighter and thinner than previous models.

Samsung will offer the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in four colors, Phantom Black, Phantom Green, Phantom Silver, and the limited-edition Thom Browne pinstripe white. Best of all? Samsung even managed to lower the price. The Fold 3 starts at $1,799, but some carriers or retailers may charge more. Pre-orders start today, and Samsung says that everyone who pre-orders the Fold 3 gets a $200 credit. The company will also accept four trade-in items to help you pay for the device. So reserve your pre-order today, or head to the carrier section below to grab it from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

Perhaps just as exciting is the new and improved Galaxy Z Flip 3. At just $999, this is Samsung’s most affordable folding phone yet. While the new Galaxy Z Flip 3 may look very similar to its predecessor, Samsung made some important changes to the design and durability. The phone comes in Cream, Green, Lavender, and Phantom Black, with a bold two-tone design. Samsung has also unveiled a slew of strap and grip cases to make using the Flip 3 even easier.

For me, the most important part is the improved and bigger 1.9-inch front cover screen, which does more than just show the date. Now, it offers more options and can cycle through 15 custom wallpapers or GIFs or even sync with your Galaxy Watch 4’s watch face. It’s not just a camera viewfinder, either, and now you can shoot videos with the cover screen.

When you flip it open, you’ll find a vastly improved 6.7-inchFHD+ AMOLED display with a high 120Hz refresh rate. And just like the Fold 3, Samsung claims the Flip 3 display is up to 30-percent more durable than the previous version. You’ll also enjoy stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support this year too.

Spec-wise, the Flip 3 features a new 5nm 64-bit Octa-Core processor and 8GB of RAM. There’s 5G and Wi-Fi 6E support, and it comes with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Its external cameras are better, too, sporting a 12MP main lens and 12MP ultra-wide lens, while its inner hole-punch camera is just 10MP. The Flip 3 is also IPX8 water-resistant, which is nice.

Pre-orders for the $1000 Galaxy Z Flip 3 open today, and it ships starting on August 27th. Everyone who pre-orders the Z Flip 3 gets a $150 credit (to maybe snag those new Galaxy Buds 2) and, for the first time ever, can trade in up to four devices to help pay for their new phone. Not any four phones, but up to four phones.

Carrier Pre-Orders and Deals

While you might not get the same credits and trade-in deal at carrier stores, you can still head to T-Mobile, Verizon, or AT&T and reserve yourself a stunning new Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Flip 3 today. Plus, carriers often offer huge savings on new devices, especially if you switch from an old carrier.

For example, if you switch to Verizon and trade in an old phone, you can get up to $1,000 off the Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Flip 3. Plus, they’ll give you an extra $500 in Verizon credits for switching to them. Both AT&T and T-Mobile are offering similar $1,000 trade-in discounts, plus T-Mobile is even offering the Galaxy Flip 3 for buy one get one free when you add an extra line. Here are links to each phone and US carriers to help you get started.

Keep in mind that most carrier deals and savings include adding a line, trading in old phones, or both. Either way, you can get huge savings on your new folding phone.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 classic could be the best Apple Watch alternatives yet. Not only are they the first smartwatches with a 5nm chipset for improved performance and battery life, but they run Google’s Wear OS in partnership with Samsung, so the experience should be even better.

You can get the new Galaxy Watch 4 in 40mm (1.2-inch display) and 44mm (1.4-inch display) sizes, with options for GPS or LTE connectivity. Then, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic comes in bigger 42mm and 46mm sizes, along with the rotating control dial (which is the only thing that sets these watches apart), though its screen sizes match the standard Watch 4. The Classic is just a little bigger due to the rotating bezel.

As always, these watches are fully customizable with straps or bands, support LTE if you’d like, and now can access Google’s app store for more app compatibility.

On the inside, a new BioActive Sensor uses a single chip to monitor blood pressure, detect irregular heartbeats, measure blood oxygen, and for the first time, calculate body composition. That last one is a big deal, as the Galaxy Watch 4 is the first smartwatch to offer readings on skeletal muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, and body fat percentage. You won’t have to head to the doctor for those results. Better yet, Samsung claims this sensor is 98% accurate.

The Galaxy Watch 4 still runs Samsung’s One UI for daily use, though it’s powered by Google’s WearOS now. We’ll have to get our hands on the watch before we say more, but hopefully, that’s nothing but a good thing.

The regular Galaxy Watch 4 runs you $250, while the Watch 4 Classic starts at $350. Pre-orders open today, and Samsung is offering a $50 credit for all customers who pre-order their smartwatch before the August 27th launch date.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2

While Samsung’s newest Galaxy Z phones are all the rage right now, we’re equally excited about the new Samsung Galaxy Buds 2, available in several colors for only $149.

The Buds 2 are Samsung’s smallest and lightest wireless earbuds ever, yet the company claims they’ll sound better than ever before. The Buds offer dynamic two-way microphones for Active Noise Canceling, Ambient Sound, and phone calls. Samsung also claims that a new AI-based algorithm will improve their ability to isolate your voice during phone calls.

With ANC, you’ll enjoy three adjustable Ambient Sound levels (so you can hear your surroundings). They also feature a similar dual-driver setup for punchy, clear sound, plus wireless charging and an IPX7 water-resistance rating. For the price, these look like an excellent alternative to many other earbuds available these days. Plus, if you pre-order a new Flip or Fold 3, you’ll get a Samsung credit and can probably buy these as essentially a free gift.

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 2 are now available for pre-order. The $150 earbuds come in Graphite, White, Olive, and Lavender colorways, plus a limited-edition Thom Browne design.

As a reminder, all of these products are available starting August 27th, so hurry and order yours today!
