The Pixie offers premium features similar to prescription models at $1999 — $1799 if you catch it on sale. Like the Zepp Clarity One model, the in-canal design makes these hearing aids nearly invisible when placed inside the ear canal. There’s a small cord grip for removing and adjusting the device once in place. And like the other models, it comes with Bluetooth connectivity and a smartphone app for personalized control. However, what sets the Pixie apart is its waterproof properties and the ability to receive phone notifications and calls directly to your hearing aids — features the Omni and One don’t have.
When turned on, this feature automatically transmits phone calls directly to your hearing aids to reduce background noise interference. With the app, you can customize the eight preset hearing programs, including adjusting the noise cancelation level. The Pixie has a slightly smaller battery life, lasting up to 17 hours. However, the carrying case holds up to 11 additional days of battery. This Pixie also comes with a 24-month limited warranty versus the 12-month warranty of the other models.
Our tester loved that she could put the hearing aids in one or both ears right out of the box and use the app to program the aids to her needs. Her prescription hearing aids required a trip to her audiologist to program the aids for her. While she did say that, at first, it seemed like every sound was amplified, including footsteps and paper rustling, after playing around with the settings on the app, she was able to filter out excess or unwanted noise. She also liked that you get two hearing aids with Zepp, whereas, with prescription aids, it’s only one and twice the cost.

For a more discreet option, the Zepp Clarity One offers a minimalistic in-canal design for around $1,200 a pair. The device’s silicone tips conform to your ear’s shape when placed inside the ear canal. With Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone app control, you can personalize your listening experience based on your surroundings. This model has four preset programs you can change and reconfigure through the Android and iOS apps. Here, you can also adjust the treble (high-pitched sounds) and bass (low-pitched sounds) of each preset or “favorite” until you’re comfortable.
You can also toggle through 12 environmental settings, such as meetings, restaurants, crowds, and mute. Each setting adjusts your hearing aids to fit that environment better. Like the Omni model, these devices come with a 12-month warranty and charge within three hours for up to 18 hours of consecutive use.

At $899 per pair, the Zepp Clarity Omni is the most cost-effective model with basic features for those with mild hearing loss. The over-the-ear design slides comfortably and securely onto your ear, with a thin tube (called the receiver wire) that rests against your head and a tulip-shaped dome that fits into your ear canal. You can easily take phone calls or stream audio directly to your hearing aids since they are Bluetooth-compatible for up to two devices at a time.
The rechargeable battery charges for up to 18 hours of use in just three hours. Plus, the included carrying case stores up to 65 additional battery hours. Other features include noise reduction and six customizable sound settings. This model comes with a 12-month limited warranty. However, it lacks directional microphones and telecoils, which can be helpful in noisy environments. They’re also not waterproof and must be removed before water exposure, like showering and swimming.
Does Medicaid, Medicare, or insurance cover Zepp Clarity hearing aids?
Most insurance companies, including Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance, do not cover over-the-counter hearing aids like Zepp Clarity. However, you may be able to pay with a health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA). Additionally, individuals with complex medical histories or requiring regular adjustments and programming may not benefit from over-the-counter hearing aids.
