#Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night Releases 1st Character Trailer

Soon-to-air original anime Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night has gotten its first character trailer. The promotional video focuses on Mahiru Kozuki (Miku Ito), a former illustrator who begins the story with the intention of living an ordinary life due to past trauma.

Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night is set to begin airing on April 6 (effectively April 7 at 1 AM JST) in Japan. HIDIVE has licensed the show. The story will follow an anonymous artist group called JELEE, which includes Mahiru, a former idol, a self-proclaimed “strongest” VTuber, and a mysterious composer who wants to support the person she is a fan of.

The anime is produced by Doga Kobo and directed by Ryouhei Takeshita (Eromanga Sensei and Pokémon: Paldean Winds director).
