#Voice Actor Takayuki Kondo & Daisuke Ono Form New Technologic Vocal Unit “TRD”

TRD, a technologic vocal unit consisting of two popular anime voice actors, Takayuki Kondo (Shuichiro Oishi in The Prince of Tennis) and Daisuke Ono (Jotaro Kujo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure), will be making their debut from Pony Canyon.

Kondo and Ono are the same age, and both have long careers as voice actors. They have worked together in the past, but now they will start their career as a new dance vocal unit at Pony Canyon. Their debut mini album “TRAD” is set to be released on June 16, 2021.

Ono explains the origin of the unit’s name, “The name of the unit TRD comes from the word ‘traditional.’ This does not mean that we are bound by tradition. We named it with the idea of creating a new tradition from here. I hope that we can create our own ‘TRD’ together with you.”

Also, Kondo shares his aspirations for the unit’s upcoming activities, “While taking over the best parts of our past activities, we would like to incorporate the new worldview proposed by the staff who will be working with us this time, and create a world that our supporters have never seen before.”

In a special trailer posted today, the two announced that their web radio program “TRD no Dope Rad Talking” will start airing on Bunka Housou’s ChoA&G＋ from 21:30 on April 1, 2021 (JST).
