#Visual Prison Anime Gets New Visual, Additional Staff

The official website and Twitter account for Noriyasu Agematsu and A-1 Pictures’ original TV anime Visual Prison revealed a new key visual and additional staff members for the anime. Additionally, the character designs for the groups OZ, Los†Eden, and Eclipse were revealed during a special live-streamed episode of the anime. The anime is set to premiere in October 2021.

The anime’s full staff includes Takeshi Furuta (Utano☆Princesama Legend Star, Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold) as chief director, Tomoya Tanaka (Blood Lad) as director, Yukie Sugawara (The Idolm@ster SideM, Overlord) as script supervisor, Minako Shiba (Black Butler) as character designer, Ikumi Katagiri (Are You Alice?) as original character designer, Jinshichi Yamaguchi (Oshiete Mahō no Pendulum: Rilu Rilu Fairilu), Hiroshi Yakou (A Certain Scientific Railgun S), and Honoka Yokoyama (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai) as sub-character designers, and Yakou, Yamaguchi, and Reina Kawasaki (The Asterisk War: The Academy City on the Water) as chief animation directors.

Takayuki Kidou (Kaguya-sama: Love is War OVA) serves as the prop designer, Hiroshi Katō (Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone) as art supervisor, Hirofumi Sakagami (City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes) as art director, Katō and Mitsuki Maeda (Shadows House) as art designers, Kanako Hokari (anohana) and Mayu Morita as color key artists, Ryuta Undo (Sword Art Online) as CG director, Akito Suzuki (DARLING in the FRANXX) as director of photography, Eiichi Nishimura (Dragon Ball Super) as editor, and Satoshi Motoyama (The Irregular at Magic High School) as sound director. Elements Garden is producing the music, while the animation production will be from A-1 Pictures and Project VP.

The anime’s cast includes Shoya Chiba as Yuki Anju, Takuya Eguchi as Saga Latour, Toshiki Masuda as Dimitri Romanee, Makoto Furukawa as Guiltia Brion, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Mist flavor, Aoi Shota as Hyde Jaiye, Hiroki Nanami as Eve Louise, Takuma Nagatsuka as Vove Elizabeth, Horie Shun as Robin Lafitte, and Shogo Yano as Jack Mouton.

The anime follows Angu Yuki, a lonely boy who travels to Harajuku to see his favorite artist. There he sees a live musical battle between the bands Eclipse and Lost Eden, and their live performance strikes a pain through his heart.
