#Video captures terrifying spider ‘attack’ on sleeping baby

Along came a spider.

A baby monitor captured the skin-crawling moment a giant spider descended down onto a sleeping baby in Bradley, Illinois. Video of the nightmarish encounter currently boasts 3.2 million views on TikTok.

“Trigger warning!! I think my life would have been better if I didn’t see this,” reads the caption to the clip, which was uploaded earlier this month by the tot’s mother Emily Stewart. “Now I have to burn the house down.”

The footage shows her baby daughter Kyla snoozing in her crib while a spider scurries across the monitor’s lens, casting a shadow across the room. All of a sudden, the arachnid uses a silk strand to rappel down toward the baby like a Navy Seal from a helicopter, whereupon it lands near the unsuspecting child’s head. A follow-up clip, set to scary music, shows the creepy-crawly climbing back up the web to the monitor.

Thankfully, Kyla wasn’t bitten during the incident, according to her relieved mother, who wrote that she killed the critter “in the morning after I saw the video!”

“Press charges you got it on camera,” advised one aghast gawker, while another wrote, “The way it went down to the baby gotta throw the room and the baby away now.”

One jokester quipped, “I’m so sorry for your loss….I’m assuming you never went to get your child again?”

Meanwhile, another suggested she score the clip with the “Mission: Impossible” theme.

It’s yet unclear what species of arachnid infiltrated Kyla’s crib, however, Stewart claims that it was some venomous “little yellow spider.”

This isn’t the first time an arachnid “attack” has been caught on camera. This past May, an Australian space telescope recorded a giant huntsman spider crawling across the lens in a scene straight out of a B horror movie.
