Valorant v3.03 has been launched, after which data miners have been looking for information in the updates left by developers. There has been some information regarding the competitive side of the game, about the in-game Tournament mode!

Since the v2.02 patch update in February, players have stated that they are not able to play ranked matches with teammates or high-ranked friends. Even if simply practicing and playing Immortal and Radianite ranks are in queue with two-man parties. Though the developers do not want to change this aspect of the game.

In May 2021, Valorant developers had told players that they “have something in the works that should help” players who had reached high ranks but still wanted to participate in 5-stack matches. This feature was the Tournament mode, first revealed in a developer live stream in June. Following the stream, data miners have been discovering more information about the new mode.

New Leaks

Mike- Valorant Leaks, known to be a Valorant data miner, has shared information about the new mode. He had stated that players can create teams and invite friends, or they can search for teams to join.
A Scouting Board section will be available in which individual players can search for particular teams to join. Teams can search for particular players to make an addition. Tournaments are to happen every other weekend. A Tournament Shop was also mentioned by Mike. However, there is no information on what kind of items will be available.
Following Mike’s post on Twitter, Jon Walker, EvrMoar on Twitter, the Competitive designer for Valorant stated that an “act-based tournament system” is being worked on, stating that this is all early information and no release date has been fixed as yet. However, with the additional information from the data miners, many expect that the new update will be arriving soon enough to fuel the competition and to provide exciting rewards.
