While performing as a member of popular voice actress idol unit i☆Ris, Yuki Wakai has also been active as a singer-songwriter, writing lyrics and composing music for the unit under her artist name Yuki. She also worked on several insert songs for the Kiratto Pri☆chan anime series, in which she voiced one of its main characters, Sara Midorikawa.
She has been already holding her solo concerts as a singer-songwriter since October 2019. On December 15, she finally released her first solo digital single under the name Yuki, “No more,” from avex. The song was performed for the first time at her solo concert “Yuki Birthday Live 2021 #YOLO” held at Ebisu Garden Hall in Tokyo on October 30, 2021, her 26th birthday. She says on Twitter, “In addition to this song, as a singer-songwriter, I’ll be bringing a lot more music to you, so stay tuned!”
