#UNTITLED MAGICAL GIRL Releases New Theme Song Performed by JAM Project Member Masami Okui

The official YouTube channel for Sparkleling and Storytelling’s co-produced original web anime project “UNTITLED MAGICAL GIRL” has posted the third and final episode of its latest arc “Wing Magical Girl” featuring its theme song “Kibou no Tsubasa” (Wings of Hope) sung by Masami Okui, a member of the anison super group JAM Project. 

In April 2021, the project was launched to depict “struggles of new magical girls who are not bound by the values and common sense created by someone else, but who stand up for themselves and pursue their own ideal images and happiness.” While the theme of the previous arc “Starry Magical Girl” featuring the theme song by Hiroko Kasahara was the 1980s, that of “Wing Magical Girl” is the 1990s. So the song and video reflect the atmosphere of the era.

Okui says, “I’ve sung a lot of anime songs in the 90’s myself, so it was very fun and natural for me to create this song. I’m really happy to have had this opportunity. The world is going through a very difficult time right now, but I’m looking forward to a wonderful work that will bring happiness and fun to so many people!”
